Life Chain 2011

Dear Friends,

October 2, 2:00 PM Life Chain 2011 in Brockport started with very cool and wet weather. The wind was biting and the rain steady as we set up, not knowing how many would brave the elements to communicate the truth regarding abortion. Our plan was to have as many Christians line the main street into the college town of Brockport, NY. as we could assemble. We sent out letters to area ministries and supporters. Posted info on our web site. E-mailed and made follow up calls.

Our message was active. Intercessory prayer while holding signs that simply said, “Abortion Kills Children”. The pastors that came were offered other complimentary signs that read, “Adoption the Loving Option”, Lord Forgive Our Nation” and “Jesus Heals and Forgives.” Adoption became a living option in this year's chain for a number of families attending had adopted children and these young ones were present.

Slowly the troops assembled from 6 area churches with their pastors. One youth group came out one to stand for life. And for one hour 100 Christians interceded for our community, state and nation. Reactions from the hundreds of vehicles that passed were mixed but primarily positive.

Oh, for the record the rain stopped 5 minutes before we started and moved to the north the whole time we were out.
